Chinese New Year eve (2/1/2011)

We started our journey to Alor Setar at 7 in the morning....I couldn't really sleep in the car as it was quite uncomfortable....I hate to sit in the middle but I had no choice cause my sister and brother doesn't wanna sit there. haha....So, end up, I am the one who sat in the middle. XD

After about 5 hours, we arrived in Alor Setar, Kedah. We headed to my uncle's house (mum's sis's husband) then to my other uncle's house (father's side) to have lunch. =)

We stayed there till about 5pm. Then we went bk to bathe, change and watch tv.

Around 7pm we went to have dinner in a restaurant called 'Hai Choo'. Our next destination is my uncle's home (mum's elder brother). Chatted with my uncle, aunt and cousin Jason...=) I told cousin Jason that I lost a library book....And guess wat..He told me , I have to pay 3 times the original price of the book.....great.....T.T Never mind....Lesson learnt....I will be more careful next time....=)

Potluck gathering in Pek Yee's house (11th of December 2010)

On the 11th of December 2010 (Saturday), there was a potluck gathering in Pek Yee's house. I brought red bean soup over to her house. Some brought roasted chicken, duck, yam cake, potato salad, swiss roll, pasta, egg sandwich etc. When I arrived in her house, a few of our friends were already in the house. Guess what? They were watching some variety show. lol...So, I joined them and together we watched the show. XD

After about half an hour, almost everyone arrived in her house. (Even our form six math teacher came! =) ) We all chatted awhile before we started eating. I love the yam cake made by Jen Chong's mum. It was so delicious. =)

After everyone arrived, they had a nasty surprise for the birthday boy (well, his brithday actually falls on the 11th of dec). They put a few ferrero rocher chocolates on the paper plate and pour whipping cream on the chocolates till it were buried deep inside. Then they asked the birthday boy to find the ferrero rocher chocolates without using both of his hands. LOL....After much protests from the birthday boy, he finally succumbed to their orders. With that, his whole face were smudged with whipping cream. XD

Then , they brought the cake out and started singing the birthday song. Initially, I thought the cake was for Jen Chong, but I saw the name written on the cake was JC2 (read as JC square). So, the realization hit me. The cake was for me too. Then I heard my name in the birthday song and I know it's definitely for me already. I guess they wanted to celebrate my birthday and jen chong's birthday together. Thanks a lot, peeps! =)

Then came the next surprise, they passed a present to Jen Chong. LOL! But I shall not elaborate on this matter. XD

And I was really stunned when they brought out a guitar and gave it to me! I was so surprised because I didn't expect them to give me that as my 21st birthday present. Once again, thank you so much , my dear friends . (Specially to: B kwon, ying wai, pek yee, grace, wai ling, jen chong, rong gen, ken nie, wai chien, crystal, kevin, chen, marcus, yee sing, jia hui) I'll definitely treasure it.. =)

Quee Nee's 21st birthday celebration

On the 25th of November, which is also the last day of our exam, we threw an early birthday celebration party for Quee Nee. okay...Not exactly a birthday party but it's more like a get together. By right, her birthday falls on the 27th of November but since we won't be around during her birthday, we decided to celebrate for her on the last day of exam instead.

Actually, one of my coursemates, Yun Fatt, was the one who suggested to celebrate for Quee Nee on the last day of exam. Most of us were busy ; Pei Yen and Jia Yin needs to pack her things as she is leaving to the airport around 7.30pm, I promised Jin Ting to play badminton with her; and others I'm not so sure what are they busy with. Anyway, he texted me and asked me about it. So, I agreed but after seeing my roommate so busy and I myself was busy, I told him to postpone the plan to next year. But Yun Fatt insisted to do celebration on that very day. He said if we postpone it, then it would be almost one month late. So, I agreed but I was worried everyone else would be busy. Thankfully, everyone could join the celebration. =)

So, I went to play badminton with Jin Ting until about 5pm. Then around six plus, me and Pei Yen went to Nurani cafe. I felt a little disappointed when I got to know that Quee Nee knew that we were gonna celebrate for her. I wanted to see her surprise and happy face actually. =) Because I know that, since her birthday falls on November, she would think that we would most likely not celebrate for her. But honestly, I think if a friend has the sincerity to celebrate for you, he or she would still celebrate for you even if your birthday falls during the holidays. =) Anyway, I'm glad that we celebrated Quee Nee's birthday. Thanks Yun Fatt... It's all thanks to you. =)

Yun Fatt bought a cake called 'White Lady' (if i'm not mistaken). The cake looked so white and beautiful. I hope Quee Nee loves the cake. =)

You're officially 21 years old now, Nee Nee boo... =) A year older, a year wiser. May you be filled with peace, love and joy...Happy Birthday, gal....

I love this song, "Out of reach". (My sis loves this song too) It's from the movie, Bridget Jones Diary. Heard of this movie before? It's not a new movie, but rather an old one. It's quite a hilarious show and I love Collin Firth in that movie. =)) Anyway, this is the lyrics of the song :

My sister is returning to Singapore today.... So, I guess the next time we will be reunited again is during chinese new year... I know I'm really gonna miss her.....Thus, I forced her to take picture with me yesterday night...muahahaha.....XD So, when I miss her , I can just stare at the pic and think of her...=)

I'm very close to my sister....Although, we quarelled countless of times when we were young, we forgive one another and our bond is not shaken even by a bit. =) She's the best sister ever....=)

I love the meal my mum prepared for me...it's simple yet delicious...Why can't Nurani cafe prepare this kinda meal for me? It's not hard to cook these kinda dishes, honestly. =) oh well...I guess I should be thankful...at least i still have food to eat in USM, Kubang kerian....lol....
